RECIPE: Cucumber Elderflower Spritz

I'm sure you've heard of an Aperol Spritz, and a Hugo Spritz...right?  This is our non-alcoholic take on those drinks that is absolutely delicious and refreshing.  The farm store is full of cucumbers today - this is a great way to preserve them.

Cucumber Elderflower Spritz

Makes 1 drink

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cucumber juice ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup cucumber juice (optional, we make these without it all the time!)
  • 2 T. elderflower syrup, preferably Mayer*
  • Soda water
  • Straw
  • Highball glass
  • Garnish: mint sprig (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Stack the ice cubes in the glass.

Drizzle the elderflower syrup over the ice cubes.

If you're using it, pour the cucumber juice over the ice cubes.

Fill the glass with seltzer (carefully, it will fizz up!)

Insert the straw, stir to combine, garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy.

*If you want a little bit of alcohol, St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur can be used instead of the syrup.
